Island House is an idyllic Lord Howe Island base
for couples, families or friends travelling together to enjoy space and serenity.
In a private oasis surrounded by native kentia palms and ancient Banyan trees Island House provides serviced private villa style accommodation in two architect-designed adjoining two-bedroom houses with the flexibility to accommodate up to eight guests.
With high-ceilings and an easy flow, comfortable mid-century interiors and extensive outdoor timber decking Island House guests are invited to slow down, breathe deeply and relax. The houses are fitted and filled with thoughtful touches to make Island House guests feel right at home: books and board games, a fridge provisioned with island produce and a well-stocked bar, quality sound system, comfortable sofas, ceiling fans and fireplaces. There’s even a copper outdoor bath to slip into and while away an afternoon!
Island House’s central ‘transit room’ is an ideal space to come together for yoga, meditation, board games or afternoon drinks – or to find a little quiet space all to yourself.
There’s also a separate ‘adventure room’ filled with paddleboards and surfboards, beach umbrellas and snorkelling gear that all invite active island adventures within easy reach of Island House.
Hike World Heritage listed Lord Howe Island‘s stunning peaks, wander in the shade of beautiful Banyan trees or cycle through forests of native Kentia palms. Swim with turtles in the island’s turquoise lagoon or ask the Island House private chef to prepare a delicious picnic in one of the island’s idyllic outdoor settings.
