One of Christchurch's newest hotels, located on busy Victoria Street
Opened in 2022, the Mayfair is one of the newest hotels in Christchurch. The hotel is within walking distance of Hagley Park and the botanic gardens, Canterbury Museum, Christchurch Art Gallery, Cathedral Square, The Terrace, and the Riverside Markets. After a day out exploring the city’s attractions, stay in for high tea at Majestic at Mayfair, or step to find yourself on busy Victoria Street, the address of several of Christchurch’s coolest bars and restaurants.

The Mayfair’s rooms are beautifully designed with grey woollen carpets and dark green velvet fabrics, creating an understated luxurious feel. This is helped in no small way by the generous size of the rooms, which range from 32 to 58 square metres (344-624 square feet). The suites, located on the upper floors of the building, also feature balconies and views of iconic Hagley Park.
Those staying on a Thursday night have the opportunity to try Slow Cuts by Nick Tatom, an exclusive once-a-week dining experience. Picture hearty meats cooked low and slow, accompanied by the crispiest golden potatoes, and fresh vibrant salads.

many many many thanks!!!!!!"

Planning a 7 week trip is daunting enough without the complications of COVID cancellations, rebookings, and closures. Yet every connection, every transportation detail, every accommodation, every meal, everything was flawless.
We can't thank Southern Crossings enough for making this trip all, and more, than we had imagined. You allowed us to see the best of your countries: the people, the beauty, the culture. Five stars, a blue ribbon, and a gold medal to everyone at Southern Crossings!"
