The Marlborough is a gorgeous historic convent converted into a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of Marlborough's wine country.

Experience the relaxed elegance of The Marlborough. Located at the top of the South Island, outside the town of Blenheim, this grand country estate is nestled amongst 6.5 hectares (16 acres) of park like grounds and is surrounded by Marlborough’s famous Sauvignon Blanc vineyards. A chapel sits alongside The Marlborough’s main building and is now home to a bar and lounging area, itself connected to a large outdoor fireplace for evening wines. Just beyond is a refreshing pool for Marlbrough’s characteristic hot sunny days.

The Marlborough has ten modern, stylish, and well furnished rooms spread over two levels. Some rooms have direct access to the wraparound deck and all have views over the manicured grounds. The large ensuite bathrooms are bright and modern, some with huge standalone bathtubs.

A vineyard makes up part of The Marlborough's grounds, growing world-famous Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc grapes.

I found Southern Crossings through Town and Country Magazine and my hopes for a 5-star vacation became reality .. once we had our Zoom with Paul, we knew that we would be in good hands. .. Paul tailored EVERY SINGLE detail of what we were looking for in our trip to our needs. The itinerary was amazing, .. I expressed interest after hearing about a restaurant while in Sydney, and he helped push to get us off the extremely long waitlist. He made sure we had the BEST rooms at each hotel we stayed at .. they seriously are the best of the best.
