An oasis in the busy town of Nelson, beautiful Pihopa Retreat is set in an extensive 5.5 acres of perfectly manicured gardens.
Elegant Pihopa Retreat started life as a bishop’s residence in 1862 and lays claim to being one of the most historic lodges in the country. Over the following decades a school was added, as well as the charming chapel and extensive park like gardens which remain to this day. More recent additions include the guest lounge, spa and swimming pool. Set in the suburbs of Nelson, just minutes from the centre of town and the airport, Pihopa Retreat is the perfect oasis to relax after long days exploring Abel Tasman National Park and artsy Nelson.
Pihopa Retreat features just six luxurious suites ranging from 55 to 90 square metres! Named after historic figures tied to the property, all are individually decorated and furnished. Each Pihopa Retreat suite features a king bed, large bathroom, wifi, smart TV, balcony and kitchenette with Nespresso machine.
Order a grazing platter and find a spot to relax in the garden, or go for a stroll in the on-site heritage woodlands.
