#StrongerthanWinston
Our thoughts and best wishes go out to the people of Fiji as they recover and rebuild after Cyclone Winston hit the island last week.
We are however thrilled to see the sunshine and welcoming warm smiles already returning to this tropical paradise; and are pleased to advise that many of the resorts we work with are already back open and fully operational, with several others expected to reopen in the coming days having escaped any significant structural damage. Among them: Liku Liku, Malolo, Yasawa Island, Westin Denerau and Intercontinental Fiji.
Vomo Island is currently closed for repairs and will reopen for business from mid May. Meanwhile, communication with some of the more northerly resorts of Jean Michel Cousteau, Namale and Paradise Tavenui is still limited and we are awaiting further information from these resorts with regards the extent of damage and reopening dates.
At this stage, we anticipate most of our resort partners will be open again by mid-year and look forward to extending you and your clients the warmest of Fijian welcomes again soon.
Other Pacific destinations including French Polynesia, the Cook Islands, Vanuatu and Samoa are unaffected by the cyclone.
