New Luxury Auckland Accommodation in 2020

Park Hyatt Auckland

The much-anticipated Park Hyatt Auckland will welcome visitors from mid-September 2020, bringing a new level of luxury to the city. Located in Wynyard Quarter, adjacent to the 2021 America’s Cup Village, the hotel’s 194 luxuriously appointed and generously proportioned guest suites are almost double the size of other standard hotel rooms in Auckland, with the impressive Presidential suite boasting 245 sqm of luxury and spectacular harbour views. In addition to a pampering day spa, 25m infinity pool and state of the art fitness centre, guests ae spoilt for choice with no less than four on-site restaurants and bars, with dozens more on their doorstep in the vibrant Wynyard Quarter and Viaduct Marina dining precincts.

Hotel Britomart

Only moments from the waterfront, Auckland’s revitalised Britomart precinct that already buzzes with some of the city’s most popular restaurants and high-end retail, will soon also provide a new luxury Auckland accommodation offering. Opening October 2020, the Hotel Britomart’s 99 contemporary timber-lined guest rooms all boast beautiful bathrooms, built-in sofas, hand-made ceramics and mini bars stocked with locally sourced treats, but our pick are the five luxurious Landing suites. Located on the higher floors of the hotel, these suites offer additional space and comforts, each one with their own layout and outlook (ask our Travel Designers to recommend the best match for you). To go ‘all-out’, the penthouse Wairoa Suite also boasts a generous size terrace with outdoor fireplace from which to enjoy twinkling city and harbour views. Hotel Britomart will be New Zealand’s first five-green star rated accommodation.

QT Auckland

In keeping with the QT brand, the QT Auckland, opening in October 2020, promises to be anything but ordinary. Sassy and stylish, the 150 guest rooms and suites will showcase daring design and offer personalised guest experiences. Exposed concrete and splashes of bold colour, custom furnishings and contemporary luxuries meet in each individual guest room, and throughout the hotel’s public spaces which will include a signature dining experience from renowned chef, Sean Connolly and a new rooftop bar with panoramic views over Viaduct Harbour is poised to become ‘the’ spot to enjoy sunset cocktails.

Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour

Amid all of the new luxury Auckland accommodation openings, the Sofitel Auckland Viaduct Harbour is also preparing to reveal a brand-new look. Reopening next month (October 2020), the hotel’s comprehensive makeover includes the lobby, bar, restaurant and spa and will see the addition of Sofitel’s signature Club Millesime. The executive club will provide an elevated range of privileges and services, including a new lounge retreat. Overlooking Waitemata Harbour, all of the hotel’s 172 guest rooms and suites enjoy a Juliet balcony and floor to ceiling windows.
