Introducing The Lodge at Kinloch
New Zealand’s newest luxury accommodation -The Lodge at Kinloch (opened January 2016) – is a meeting of natural beauty, cutting-edge design and contemporary sophistication.
Enjoying an enviable location in the heart of the North island’s outdoor playground, The Lodge at Kinloch’s one bedroom suites and two bedroom villas overlook the magnificent Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course and stunning Lake Taupo. Just an hour from the thermal resort town of Rotorua, a heartland of Maori heritage – The Lodge at Kinloch is the perfect base from which to explore New Zealand’s scenic and recreational diversity: from bungee jumping to fly-fishing, helicopter scenic flights to mountain biking, skiing to hiking the famous Tongariro Crossing.
But the truth is, it will be a real challenge for guests to steal themselves away from the lodge and its 254 hectares of tranquil surrounds. The villas – designed by Andrew Patterson, perhaps New Zealand’s best internationally known architect and decorated by THE New Zealand Lodge designer, Virginia Fisher – are spacious and well appointed. The Lodges’ regal design and lush textures are a nod to the property’s namesake Scottish castle; whilst panoramic vista windows capture New Zealand’s unmistakable grand-scale natural beauty.
The accommodation is complemented with tennis courts, an infinity pool (opening soon), state of the art gym and a spa facility specialising in therapeutic sports massage and organic wellness treatments. The on-site restaurant offers delicious ‘Estate to Plate’ dining, sourcing much of their produce from the owner’s farm, served with some of New Zealand’s finest wines.
.. And then of course the jewel in Kinloch’s crown – the par 72, 18 hole Champion Kinloch Club Golf Course – voted in the Top 10 new golf courses in the world by US Travel+Leisure golf magazine, the only course outside of North America to feature on this prestigious list.
Kinloch Lodge epitomises New Zealand luxury.
