Introducing Australia’s Newest Luxury Lodge: Mt Mulligan
This is Far North Queensland, but not as you know it ! Mt Mulligan, Australia’s newest Luxury Lodge combines seclusion and sophistication, rugged outback landscapes and refined modern luxuries. Providing all-inclusive luxury accommodation, in laid-back contemporary Australian style, for a maximum of just 16 guests.
Each of the four free-standing accommodation pavilions include an ‘outback room’ (king bedroom with bathroom) and an ‘outback suite’ (king bedroom, separate lounge area and bathroom) which, together can be combined to create a two-bedroom, two-bathroom family suite. Each guest room also enjoys views over the majestic Mt Mulligan, a private deck with outdoor bath-tub and an electric buggy to get around.
Activities are designed to provide an authentic outback experience with options including bird watching and barramundi fishing, spectacular hikes and scenic helicopter flights, sup-boarding, kayaking, star-gazing and more. Guests can also join a guided tour of the historic goldfields, mines and the abandoned Mt Mulligan township; and are welcome to experience the day to day operations of a working Australian cattle station – even trying their hand at cattle mustering (selected dates).
After a day of action and outback adventures, refresh in the lodge’s infinity pool, relax with a sundowner watching the sunset over Mt Mulligan escarpment and relish the daily changing dinner menu that showcases locally sourced, caught and grown produce, served with iconic and boutique label Australian wines from the lodge’s extensive cellar.
Situated on a 28,000 hectare heritage site and working cattle farm, Mt Mulligan Lodge is accessed by a 35-minute scenic helicopter flight (showcasing views over the Daintree Rainforest and the Atherton Tablelands) or a three-hour 4WD adventure from Cairns. Alternatively, private jet flights can be arranged from most major Australian cities.
