As the world celebrates International Women’s Day again today (8 March), Southern Crossings is proud to celebrate our on-going partnership with Woven Earth; an Auckland-based organisation dedicated to transforming lives by empowering individuals in our community – most commonly, women – who have faced enormous challenges.
Woven Earth is a grassroots initiative making a real difference and fostering positive change. Founded on the mission to provide women and children in difficult circumstances with the tools, resources, and sense of belonging they need to rebuild secure stable homes and a brighter future for their families, Woven Earth’s practical approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a belief in the inherent strength of women.
Kerryn Thrupp, Founder and CEO of Woven Earth is not only an inspiration, she is the driving force that is taking positive action to transform futures, one home at a time. It was therefore a privilege for Southern Crossings New Zealand Owner | Director, Sarah Farag to be able to join Kerryn and the Woven Earth team recently as they lovingly set up a new home for a mother and her five children.
