Australia, New Zealand and Fiji provide some of the ‘Best Places to Visit’ in 2025
Australia, New Zealand and Fiji have rated amongst the hottest destinations on the planet this year, with multiple regions across our destinations having featured on prestigious international lists of the Best Places to Visit in 2025.
QUEENSLAND’S TROPICAL COAST
Queensland’s Tropical Coast has made Conde Nast Traveler’s list of the ‘25 Best Places to go in 2025’. A breath-taking World Heritage wonder, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef has long rated highly on many traveller’s bucket-lists – and in 2025 the region is set to welcome a new family-friendly luxury accommodation offering with the opening of The Sundays on Hamilton Island (anticipated to welcome guests from April 2025). Meanwhile, luxury travellers to the Whitsunday’s already have another fabulous accommodation option to enjoy with the recent addition of qualia’s Residence (formerly the private holiday home of qualia’s founding Oatley family). Southern Crossings also has access to several luxurious superyachts (including the stunning new MY Northern Escape) for visitors to enjoy a private slice of this piece of paradise all to themselves.
THE NORTHERN TERRITORY TOP END
Australia’s Northern Territory Top End – with its inviting combination of World Heritage listed landscapes and a rich Indigenous cultural heritage – also features on Conde Nast Traveler’s list of the ‘25 Best Places to go in 2025’. Visitors to the Top End can enjoy immersive safari-style lodgings and experiential touring that introduces spectacular wetlands, beautiful birdlife and ancient rock art as just the beginning.
TASMANIA
Tasmania’s jaw-dropping landscapes and world-class luxury travel experiences have earned Australia’s island-state a place on Travel+Leisure’s Best Places to Travel to in 2025. One of the best new ways to experience it all is with one of the new Odalisque III small-group luxury expedition-style cruises that provide access to some of the most remote and rarely visited corners of the Australian continent, whilst travellers enjoy personalised service and gourmet dining aboard a purpose-built vessel accommodating up to just 12 indulged guests.
NORTHLAND
Whilst the South Island’s dramatic landscapes often steal the limelight, New Zealand’s Northland offers spectacular waterways, wonderful wildlife experiences, award-winning wines, world-class golf and more – all of which have earned the region’s place on National Geographic’s “25 Best Places in the World to Travel to in 2025”.
MURRAY RIVER
Another National Geographic top pick, is Australia’s mighty Murray River. The third-longest navigable river in the world (after the Amazon and the Nile), the Murray River runs through Australia’s agrarian heart and visitors to this off-the-beaten path destination can enjoy wonderful wildlife spotting, birdwatching and stargazing experiences with multi-day guided hiking experiences and paddlesteamer cruises.
FIJI
Fiji rounds out the Top 3 of Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel list of 30 incredible destinations for 2025. The island nation’s exceptional surfing, scuba diving, welcoming culture and stunning landscapes (from sandy beaches to lush rainforests) have earned Fiji’s place on this list.
From the new Te Arai Links golf resort north of Auckland to an exciting new tailored cruising option on Western Australia’s Kimberley Coast, our destinations have also welcomed an inviting collection of new experiences and hotels in recent months – and look forward to welcoming several more in the months ahead (look out for the new Flockhill Villas, ROKI Collection Queenstown, The Sanctuary at Alba Hot Springs and Spa, Rumi on Louth and more), together providing even more reasons and regions to visit Australia, New Zealand and Fiji in 2025.
