A new private island on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef

A new private island on Australia's Great Barrier Reef

Ever dreamt of escaping to your own private island on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef? a luxury traveller’s private piece of paradise for the day! Then you are sure to LOVE Australia’s newest bucket-list luxury travel experience – an UltraLuxe floating pontoon moored just moments from the Whitsunday’s iconic Heart Reef.

Heart Island: a new (and very exclusive) private island on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef

Heart Island Glass bottom boat lounge and heli on pontoon

Exclusive to guests of Hamilton Island, the day begins with a 30 minute scenic helicopter flight over the islands of the Whitsundays and the swirling white sands of Whitehaven Beach. Once at the Reef, enjoy a glass bottom cruise (in a boat which appears, James Bond-style, out of the pontoon and which has been specifically customised for Heart Island) to enjoy a closer look at Heart Reef.

Return to your little piece of paradise to snorkel among the neighbouring reefs, relax in the luxurious lounge over a light lunch, and swim straight off the pontoon in the Great Barrier Reef’s turquoise waters before the heli-return to Hamilton Island.

This Australian ultraluxe travel experience is one-of-a-kind. Up until now, visitors have really only been able to enjoy this piece of paradise from the air, with a scenic flight over the Great Barrier Reef.

The ecologically sensitive man-made state-of-the-art pontoon has been developed in close consultation with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Authority and caters for a maximum of just 6 guests, with a minimum age restriction of 14 years.
