SCIENCE FOR WILDLIFE

Koala conservation & exclusive experiences

Southern Crossings are passionate supporters and the exclusive travel partners of Science for Wildlife, a leading not-for-profit wildlife conservation organisation in Australia’s Blue Mountains.

Home to the most genetically diverse populations of koalas in the country, the Greater Blue Mountains World heritage wilderness is a critically important area for this most iconic species which has now been listed as ‘endangered’ across Australia’s eastern states. Heavily impacted by the 2019/2020 bushfires, Koalas now also face the long-term challenge of climate change and need our help.

Leading not-for-profit, Science for Wildlife creates and shares scientific knowledge to empower meaningful native wildlife conservation. Building working partnerships between researchers, land managers, community groups and volunteers, Science for Wildlife inspires, informs and invites participation in conservation.
