Accommodating a maximum of just 28 guests across the resort’s 14 luxury rooms, suites and villas, personalised service is assured and privacy is never hard to find. Step out of your room and explore more than 1,000 hectares of national park and its pristine fringing reefs.
Orpheus Island Lodge features an alfresco-style dining area, day spa and infinity pool. Fishing and snorkelling gear, kayaks, paddleboards s and catamarans are also available. Whilst daily yoga classes salute the sun before breakfast.
Exploring the idyllic surrounds is easy with daily guided snorkelling tours of the fringing reefs and giant clam garden, motorised dinghies available for guests to discover secluded beaches (complete with chef-prepared picnic), and sunset cruises with canapes showcase a kaleidoscope of colour.
Venture a little further with a range of private charters by luxury cruiser or helicopter to enjoy scuba diving, guided rainforest walks on neighbouring Hinchinbrook Island or deep sea game fishing on the Outer Reef.

All meals and most beverages, use of water sports equipment and a daily Orpheus experience are included with a stay on Orpheus Island. Orpheus Island lodge is closed for the month of February. There is a 15kg luggage allowance on the helicopter transfers. Visitors are advised to pack a soft bag for their Orpheus Island stay and any excess luggage can be stored at the helicopter base. Orpheus Island Lodge is available for exclusive use, making it an ideal tropical island escape for multi-generational family reunions, intimate destination weddings and other milestone celebrations.

I cannot recommend Southern Crossings more highly! Fiona worked closely with us to design an itinerary that was perfectly catered to our needs, price-point and preferences. Everything they booked felt extremely authentic and unique. The itinerary was well-balanced in terms of activity, travel and accommodation. They were available and communicative in the months leading up to the trip as well as in real time during the trip. If anything went wrong I took comfort in knowing they were only a phone call away but luckily everything went extremely smoothly. We just returned from our fabulous, fascinating trip to Australia. We loved the excellent accommodations that Southern Crossings arranged for us. Besides the convenience of the locations, we had opportunities of fabulous meals on site. We do want to revisit some at a future date. The Kangaroo Island Ocean View Eco Villas were amazing. Three Star Michelin breakfast, cocktails, and suppers included every day! Chef Tamsin has to be experienced to be believed.
