All meals and most beverages, use of water sports equipment and a daily Orpheus experience are included with a stay on Orpheus Island. Orpheus Island lodge is closed for the month of February. There is a 15kg luggage allowance on the helicopter transfers (30 mins from Townsville, 90 mins from Cairns. Also available from other Tropical North Queensland locations). Visitors are advised to pack a soft bag for their Orpheus Island stay and any excess luggage can be stored at the helicopter base. Orpheus Island Lodge is available for exclusive use, making it an ideal tropical island escape for multi-generational family reunions, intimate destination weddings and other milestone celebrations. Alternatively the neighbouring Pelorus Private Island is an exclusive-use experience for smaller family groups or friends travelling together.
