Exclusive Australian wildlife encounters!
Have a whale of a time in WA!
Between August and November visitors to Western Australia’s Coral Coast can swim with humpback whales. The most bucketlist-worthy of Australian wildlife encounters!
It is estimated that approximately 30,000 humpback whales migrate along the Ningaloo Coast each year, making their way to and from their breeding and birthing grounds in the Exmouth Gulf.
Day tours depart from Exmouth and Coral Bay – and are best combined with a stay at the Sal Salis eco-luxe wilderness camp. With a maximum of 10 people per tour and just 5 people permitted to swim with these majestic creatures at any one time, this really is a bucket-list experience.
This stretch of the Australian coast is also renowned for its opportunities to swim with the gentlest giants of the sea, the whale sharks that visit these waters between March and July. Sea turtles, Manta Rays and Dugongs are also commonly seen all year round on snorkelling trips in the region. Meanwhile Black footed Rock Wallabies, Red Kangaroos and Emus are common sights on land.
