The Victorian exterior of Hulbert House is traditional, but the fantastic bright and bold colours of the interior are anything but!
Hulbert House is a beautifully restored Victorian villa dating back to 1888. Steeped in history, it’s a combination of historic elegance and contemporary service offering a luxury, boutique accommodation experience. Situated close to Queenstown’s vibrant central city, Hulbert House is imbued with a sense of serenity.

Each of the five Premium Rooms and the one Grand Room have their own independent character, and each is named after a prominent individual in the Homesteads history. Period details have been retained and further enhanced with the use of bold English wallpapers and a custom milled carpet was commissioned from New Zealand wool with the design inspired by willow pattern china. A judicious combination of patterned textiles have added further zing, while large scale French antiques and chandeliers ensure a pervading sense of opulence.
On a fine evening, be sure not to miss pre dinner drinks and canapes on Hulbert's deck with views over Lake Wakatipu.
