The Dacha boasts some of the most incredible views in New Zealand!
Be prepared to rescue your jaw from the floor as you walk into The Dacha and the incredible panoramic views of Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps unfold before you! This hosted private villa is nestled away in a quiet residential street in Wanaka, far enough away from the busy town centre to be private, yet close enough to venture in for meals and shopping. A mixture of suites and bunk rooms, plus a standalone cottage next door, makes The Dacha an especially good option for families large and small.
The Dacha’s main residence has three suites and two bunk rooms which can accommodate an impressive fourteen people. An additional two people can be accommodated in seclusion next door at The Banya. The Dacha’s main living, dining and kitchen area is complemented by a second living room, meaning there’s lots of space for adults and kids to enjoy their own vibe. There’s also ample outdoor space as well as a great pool and spa, all with majestic views over the lake.
The unique indoor BBQ allows guests to cook up a classic kiwi dinner, even in the winter ski season.

Planning a 7 week trip is daunting enough without the complications of COVID cancellations, rebookings, and closures. Yet every connection, every transportation detail, every accommodation, every meal, everything was flawless.
From our arrival in Sydney .. to our last stop in Queenstown .. we will carry with us the best memories of our trip and all of your efforts. The incredible private boat tours .. the bespoke wine tours with the best guides .. our accommodations .. and the excellent itinerary and pacing, made for a perfect trip.
We can't thank Southern Crossings enough for making this trip all, and more, than we had imagined. You allowed us to see the best of your countries: the people, the beauty, the culture. Five stars, a blue ribbon, and a gold medal to everyone at Southern Crossings!
