Cabot Lodge

Near Te Anau, New Zealand

Cabot Lodge provides a wonderfully authentic New Zealand farmstay experience on the edge of the Te Wahipounamu UNESCO World Heritage Site.

On the edge of Fiordland National Park, Cabot Lodge is the perfect base for exploring the park. The lodge is located on Cathedral Peaks Station, a 2,000 acre sheep, deer and cattle farm with farm tours, sheep herding demonstrations, and even beekeeping tours among the experiences available to guests during their stay. Cabot Lodge provides an authentic New Zealand dining experience. With fruit and vegetables grown on the property, fresh fish from the fiords, venison from the hills of Fiordland, lamb from the paddocks of Southland and salmon raised down the road on Stewart Island, there is a story behind every dish.

Premier Suite at Cabot Lodge

The lodge has four suites, one of which has two bedrooms, and works particularly well when all four are booked on an exclusive use basis. The beautifully appointed suites have a variety of views over the farm, to Lake Manapouri and on to the mountains beyond. During the day guests can enjoy the spa pool, hiking trails across the property, and the private fishing jetty on the Waiau River.

Have Breidi and Bard put together a gourmet hamper for you and set off across the farm for a picnic with the sheep or in a secluded spot overlooking Lake Manapouri.
