Elysium Lodge is a magnificent exclusive-use private villa located between Queenstown and Glenorchy on a working high country station (farm). The villa has pride of place on the highest ride on the station, enabling it to have the most expansive views of Lake Wakatipu, the Remarkable Mountains, Mt Earnslaw and the Dart River. Along with the views, Elysium Lodge boasts numerous facilities to tempt even the most outdoorsy of guests, to simply stay inside and lap up the luxury.

Elysium Lodge has five bedrooms and can accommodate up to twelve guests. The spacious master suite claims 60 square metres of luxury, including a marble-lined bathroom and an adjoining den. There are three further bedrooms with ensuites and terraces, plus a bunkroom with ensuite for up to four children. Guests are immersed in the stunning views from the living room, dining room, kitchen, and the numerous outdoor spaces. Extra touches at Elysium Lodge include a spa, sauna, wine room and helipad.

Whilst remote and most private, guests benefit from full concierge service and private chefs, just a phone call away.

I expressed interest after hearing about a restaurant while in Sydney, and he helped push to get us off the extremely long waitlist.
