FlockHill

Arthur's Pass, New Zealand

Flockhill Homestead is an ultra-luxurious villa tucked away in an alpine pass first used by Maori to traverse the imposing Southern Alps.

Flockhill Homestead sits on an iconic Canterbury high country station, deep in the Southern Alps, yet only 75 minutes from Christchurch. Established in 1857, the massive 14,000 hectare Flockhill station is a working sheep and cattle farm, and borders important conservation and recreation areas such as the Craigieburn Forest, Lake Pearson and Porter Heights. Flockhill Homestead guests enjoy endless outdoor activities including hiking, farm tours, excellent fly fishing, biking, paddle boarding, kayaking, stargazing and caving.

A bedroom at Flockhill

Flockhill Homestead is a fully-serviced private villa with four ensuite bedrooms, a media room, jacuzzi, pool and fire pit, all surrounded by stunning alpine scenery.. Heavy limestone elements reflect the dramatic rock formations of nearby Castle Hill, while the light wooden roof reflects historic farm buildings on the property.

Flockhill Station will also welcome luxury lodge accommodation for individual couples and families, along with a signature restaurant opening December 2024.

One of Flockhill's most unique experiences is traversing the nearly 600 metre long Cave Stream as it twists and turns its way to an underground waterfall.
