A fantastically scenic loop around the South Island
On this journey, circumnavigate the lower South Island for the very best of its jaw-dropping scenery. Starting and finishing in Christchurch, travel aboard the famous TranzAlpine train to the West Coast where you’ll hike the equally as famous Franz Josef Glacier, which carves its way down the mountainside into the lush rainforests of the West Coast. Continue to the Central Otago resort towns of Wanaka and Queenstown for visits to Milford Sound and the Mount Aspiring National Park. Then turn north for the wonderfully barren Mackenzie Country, home to azure blue lakes and the awe-inspiring Aoraki Mount Cook.

Spend the day exploring and the afternoon enjoying the dramatic mountain scenery from your private hot tub on the deck of your chalet.
